Birthdays For Benin

Tired of getting gifts from people? I know I am. Rather than getting traditional gifts, why not ask your family, friends, strangers, fans, and enemies to consider buying a scholarship, goat, or chicken for a formerly trafficked child in Benin.

Here’s how it works:

You go to our online store, select the gift you want to buy (goat, chicken, or scholarship), add it to your shopping cart, and purchase the gift using paypal. If you prefer to pay by check, write your check out to “Unseen Stories” with “Birthdays for Benin – gift item” in the memo line and send it to:

School Scholarship

Buy a one-year school scholarship for a formerly trafficked child in Benin. Unseen Stories has two partners in Benin, FCEE and Community Action for Children’s Protection, who provide scholarships to children in Benin who have been trafficked. The money you use to buy a scholarship will be sent to one of these organizations who will provide a child with a scholarship that covers tuition and a uniform. Between these two partner organizations, there are 216 children in need of a school scholarship. With the opportunity to attend school, these children will be protected from trafficking and given the hope of a better future.

Goats and Chickens

Our partner, ANDIA, is a Beninese orphanage and training center for formerly trafficked children. They are in need of goats and chickens to teach the children how to raise and sell the animals. It will provide the children with training on animal husbandry, buying and selling, and be a great source of income for the orphanage.

Documentary Screening Donations

Birthday option #3 is making a donation straight to Unseen Stories according to the new age of the birthday boy or girl. This money will be used specifically for screening the documentary across the country.

These birthday presents are a great way to combat child trafficking in Benin!
